Okay, we all know our dogs talk to us, don't we? Bow-Lingual is
a fun device to put your knowledge of your dog to the test. We've
tried it on our three dogs and we were impressed! Just as we thought,
Dancer is "on guard" or "assertive" and Tilli
is often "frustrated" because she wants to play when we're
working. Bruno rarely makes noises but when he does it's a "sad"
why did you leave me. The phrases the system uses will make you
laugh and more often than not, you'll agree.
You start by selecting
your breed from one of over 80 breeds built into the system. If
your breed isn't in the list (ours wasn't), you can select your
breed by size of dog and the shape of the snout. Then attach the
sending unit to your dog's collar. You can now begin translating!

Notes:
You'll want to use our tag silencers to eliminate any tag noise
the unit might pick up.
The sending unit is 3.25" long so it won't fit very small breeds
(sorry).

The
Science Behind Bow-Lingual "The Dog Translator"
Developed by experts in acoustics and animal behavior, the Bow-Lingual
uses voiceprints to determine what your dog is trying to tell you.
Bow-Lingual is the result of years of work by multiple organizations.
The researchers created over 5000 voiceprints of different dogs
and determined that there are six fundamental patterns to their
barks. They then worked with animal behaviorists, veterinarians
and dog owners to identify which emotion was being expressed. From
this the Animal Emotion Analysis System (AEAS) was developed.
The Bow-Lingual dog bark
translator analyzes your dog's barks using the AEAS, then selects
one of nearly 200 preprogrammed phrases to represent what your dog
is trying to say. The phrases have been selected to reflect the
emotion expressed, as well as to entertain by capturing the natural
playfulness of dogs.
