A molasses flavored oral supplement formulated by veterinarians and horse handlers to help growing horses maintain healthy joints. Contains glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid, and manganese sulfate.

• Sodium hyaluronate lubricates the joint and supplies nutrients to cartilage. Hyaluronic acid also plays an important role in a number of physiological functions including maintenance of the structural integrity of tissues, transport of molecules and cells, and fluid retention and regulation. It is present as a constituent in all body fluids and tissues.
• Chondroitin sulfate, a glycosaminoglycan found naturally in the joints and connective tissue, helps produce and protect cartilage. It is also a part of proteoglycans which gives connective tissue its strength and flexibility. Chondroitin inhibits enzymes that destroy cartilage.
• Glucosamine sulfate is a natural substance found abundantly in all tissues and largely in the cartilage where it plays an important role in cartilage health and resiliency. Glucosamine is one of the major building blocks of articular cartilage and of synovial fluid. It also stimulates the production of glycosaminoglycans (hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate) and prevents continued erosion of the cartilage.

The high concentration of components in Chondrogen EQ allows for a once-a-day serving. Administer an initial seven day loading serving twice daily for each 1,100 lbs. of body weight. Followed by a maintenance serving of once daily for each 1,100 lbs. of body weight or as recommended by your veterinarian.
